Dialogue between a student and a teacher about exam preparation
Student: Good morning, ma’am. Can I talk to you for a minute?
Teacher: Good morning! Of course, what’s the matter?
Student: I’m a little stressed about the upcoming exams. I don’t know where to start.
Teacher: Don’t worry. It’s normal to feel nervous. Have you made a study plan?
Student: Not yet. I’ve been just reading randomly.
Teacher: That’s the problem. You should create a timetable. Start with the subjects you find most difficult.
Student: That’s a good idea. How many hours should I study each day?
Teacher: Around 5 to 6 hours, with short breaks in between. And make sure you revise regularly.
Student: Should I focus more on reading or solving past papers?
Teacher: A balance of both is important. Read to understand the concepts, and solve past papers to practice answering.
Student: I also get nervous during exams. What should I do?
Teacher: Practice helps build confidence. Also, sleep well, eat healthy, and stay calm. Don’t overthink.
Student: Thank you, ma’am. I feel better now and know what to do.
Teacher: You’re welcome! Just stay focused and stay positive. You’ll do well.
Student: I will. Thanks again!
